Day 1
Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun to Barkot via Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Falls
Begin your sacred journey with a scenic drive from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun to Barkot, passing through the beautiful hill station of Mussoorie. Take a relaxing break at Mussoorie Lake, enjoying its peaceful surroundings. Continue to the famous Kempty Falls, where the cascading waters and fresh mountain breeze create a serene atmosphere. Proceed to Barkot, a quaint town nestled in the Himalayas, and rest overnight in preparation for your visit to Yamunotri.

Day 2
Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot
Early morning, embark on your journey to Yamunotri, the origin of the sacred Yamuna River. Drive to Janki Chatti, the base point for the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple. The trek offers mesmerizing views of lush valleys and flowing streams. Visit the Yamunotri Temple, take a holy dip in Surya Kund, and offer prayers. After seeking the blessings of Goddess Yamuna, return to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Barkot to Uttarkashi – Visit Vishwanath Temple
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, a spiritual town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its powerful divine presence. If time permits, take a short nature walk or explore the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). Enjoy a peaceful evening in Uttarkashi before resting for the night.

Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi via Harsil Valley
Begin your day with a picturesque drive to Gangotri, the source of the holy Ganges River. En route, pass through Harsil Valley, a hidden paradise known for its apple orchards, towering deodar trees, and breathtaking landscapes. At Gangotri Temple, offer prayers to Goddess Ganga and take a dip in the sacred waters of the Bhagirathi River. After experiencing the spiritual aura of Gangotri, return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Uttarkashi to Sersi via Guptkashi – Visit Vishwanath Temple
Depart from Uttarkashi and head towards Sersi, making a stop at Guptkashi, an important pilgrimage town. Visit the Vishwanath Temple, a significant shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, and take some time for prayer and reflection. Arrive in Sersi, the gateway to Kedarnath, where you will stay overnight.

Sersi to Kedarnath
Early in the morning, embark on a journey to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. You can either trek 18 km from Gaurikund or opt for a helicopter ride for a quicker and more comfortable visit. Upon reaching Kedarnath Temple, soak in the spiritual and natural beauty of this sacred site. Spend the night near the temple, experiencing the divine aura of the Himalayas.

Kedarnath to Sonprayag to Triyuginarayan Temple to Guptkashi
After attending the morning aarti at Kedarnath, descend to Sonprayag and visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, the mythical site of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati’s divine wedding. The temple’s eternal flame is believed to have been burning since their marriage. Later, proceed to Guptkashi for a restful night.

Guptkashi to Chopta to Tungnath to Pipalkoti
Today, set out for Chopta, also known as the “Mini Switzerland of India” due to its stunning alpine meadows and Himalayan views. From Chopta, embark on a 5 km trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Trishul, Tungnath offers a spiritually uplifting and visually stunning experience. After paying homage at the temple, descend and continue your journey to Pipalkoti, where you will stay overnight.

Pipalkoti to Badrinath – Visit Mana Village
Depart from Pipalkoti and travel towards Badrinath, home to the revered Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Before reaching the temple, visit Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Tibetan border. Explore Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, and Saraswati River, each holding deep mythological significance. Also visit Narsingh Devta Temple and Shankaracharya Math before seeking blessings at the Badrinath Temple. Stay overnight in Pipalkoti.

Pipalkoti to Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun via Dhari Devi Temple and Devprayag Sangam
On your final day, begin your return journey, stopping at the Dhari Devi Temple, where Goddess Dhari Devi is believed to protect the region. Continue to Devprayag, the sacred confluence where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the Ganges.
